Summer School Papers 2012

Summer School provides an opportunity to change your major, speed up your degree or finish those last papers to graduate.

The Department offers its 100-level paper BSNS105 Management and Organisations at Summer School.

The aim of 100-level courses is to provide an introduction to the theory and practice of management, the functions of management, the New Zealand business environment, and to prepare students for advanced courses.

BSNS105 is also offered in both semesters during the year. Further information.

We are also offering a 300-level paper in 2012.

Core Papers

A BCom includes the following Required Papers:

• BSNS102 Quantitative Analysis for Business
• BSNS103 Marketing and Consumption
• BSNS104 Principles of Economics 1
• BSNS105 Management and Organisations
• BSNS106 E-business and Information Systems Development
• BSNS107 Understanding Accounting
• BSNS108 Business Finance

Students are normally required to complete the required papers before going on to 300-level study.

To complete a BCom you need to pass papers worth a minimum of 360 points. At least 180 of those points must be above 100-level with a minimum of 72 points at 300-level. You may choose to do non-Commerce papers with a maximum of 90 points able to be credited towards your BCom.
