Virginia Phillips

Virginia teaches business communication, intercultural communication, conflict resolution and aspects of general management, international management and human resource management at the University of Otago. Virginia has a particular interest in both writing business cases and in using them as a vehicle for teaching and learning. She is completing a PhD examining the influence of culture and the behaviours, expectations and engagement preferences with the processes of negotiation and mediation as pathways of conflict resolution in New Zealand. Virginia has a number of research interests, including facilitation, gender and communication, cross-cultural training and development, global teams, and organisational effectiveness.
