Stephen Bowden

Dr Stephen Bowden is a lecturer in strategic management at the University of Waikato, where he has been for the last five years. Prior to that time Stephen spent six years in the United States completing his Ph.D. in strategy from one of the premier universities in the world, the University of Illinois. Since returning to New Zealand Stephen has been actively teaching strategy to executives as well as in the traditional university programs. In addition, Stephen has written eight cases about the strategies of New Zealand businesses including Air New Zealand, Restaurant Brands, Resene, The Warehouse and Vodafone that are now used throughout the country. Stephen also consults with firms on their strategic planning.
