John Paynter

John teaches and researches in Software Engineering at the University of Auckland. He initially trained as a Zoologist, then as an Operations Research and Econometrician and worked in the fisheries and forest industries in these disciplines. He also worked in a variety of roles in a cross section of New Zealand businesses. John's publications and research interests are in Franchising, Information Systems and Operations Research. He writes cases concerned with information systems and management of business and community organisations.
