Ben has taught in the marketing sector since graduating with a BCom(Hons) in 1998, mainly in the areas of marketing theory, consumer behaviour, history of business and marketing research. He has a passion for the history of general theory development and philosophical issues in marketing - his doctoral research being in this area. Postgraduate supervision is an aspect of the academic life that he particularly enjoys.
Other interests include researching complexity, chaos theory, self-organised critical states and the application of scientific methodology in marketing.
He is on the editorial board of the European Business Review, the Journal of Historical Research in Marketing and the policy board of the Journal of Macromarketing, and was Co-chair of the Macromarketing Conference 2006 in Queenstown. He is the editor of the Macromarketing Society website.
Ben is an enthusiastic long distance bike racer.
