Alec Holt is the Director of the Health Informatics programme which includes students undertaking a Postgraduate Diploma in Health Informatics, Masters or PhD.
My teaching and research expertise includes Health Informatics, Geographical Information Systems, Case-based reasoning and Web 2.0.
I have taught Health Informatics in many countries with support from the World Health Organisation (WHO). I am currently involved with
a United Nations (UN) taskforce particularly on ICT for Healthcare for developing countries (ICTD) and Health Research Council grants on product (drugs) vigilance
I regularly serve on editorial, programme and review committees for International Journals and conferences. Also a reviewer for several International grants, for example, The Wellcome Trust.
I have published over 140 research papers and articles.
