Key supporting techniques for managing projects are considered, such as the control and management of time, cost, risk and quality requirements, alongside the managing of people and the communication process involved. At the end of the week participants will have gained a complete understanding of what it takes to successfully deliver a major project on-time, on-cost and to the customer’s specification.

The course is an intensive, experience-based programme that covers collective bargaining philosophy and law, conventions and ethics, strategies and tactics, practices and procedures, and much more. The course provides an understanding of the legal environment for collective bargaining, and the obligations and opportunities under the “good faith” concept. Participants learn how to select a negotiating team and manage the team through the negotiations, draft language for proposals, counterproposals and agreements, deal with hostility and interpersonal conflict across the table, bring negotiations to closure and reach agreements, use mediation to break bargaining deadlocks, and deal with strikes, lockouts and legal action at impasse.
