Alvin Etang Ndip
BSc (Buea, Cameroon), MA (Bergamo, Italy), PhD (Otago)
Alvin's research interests are mainly in the areas
of development economics, microfinance, experimental economics,
and social capital. His recent research focuses on empirical analyses
of the importance of trust in social and economic interactions.
He is also currently analysing the extent to which individuals giving
money to non-government aid agencies (such as World Vision) give
more money when poverty is higher in the recipient country, and
if they are more generous when the causes of poverty are perceived
to be beyond the country's control.
