Otago Internship Preparation & Application
It takes some preparation to become an intern at the University of Otago's School of Business, and every student wishing to apply for the internship programme must begin preparation early in their second year.
Nine steps to becoming an intern
1. If you think you are eligible, email your name and student ID to internships@otago.ac.nz and the Internship Coordinator will confirm your eligibility.
2. You will then be given access to BSNX201 on Blackboard where you can check out jobs on offer.The positions will be added throuhgout the year so it is worth checking regularly.
3. May 18 – Applications to the Internship Training Programme close. Application forms available from the Office of the Dean.
4. May 28 - June 1 – Attend an interview with the Internship Co-ordinator.
5. July - August – Complete the Internship Training Programme.
6. Late August – Final interview with the Internship Co-ordinator.
7. September 12 – Applications to employers close.
8. September 17-28 – Employer interviews.
9. November - February – Begin your Internship!
