International Accreditation & Association Memberships
Business qualifications from the University of Otago are internationally recognised, and our graduates are aligned with those from prestigious business schools around the globe. Our accreditation with two international agencies – EQUIS and AACSB - is a firm reassurance to stakeholders of the quality of education at the School of Business.
Accreditation is an assurance of quality, an instant indicator that Otago's Business School is of exceptional quality and committed to continual improvement in order to maintain that high quality. Because business operates in the global marketplace, accreditation provides a means for comparing and benchmarking schools on an international scale.
Accreditation is not easy (as at April 2011):
- Globally 109 business schools have EQUIS accreditation, with a further 21 awaiting confirmation.
- Approximately 620 business schools have AACSB accreditation, but only around 141 of these are outside the United States.
- Only approximately 50 hold both.
Whether you are in the Asia-Pacific region, on either side of the Atlantic Ocean, or anywhere else in the world, a degree from the University of Otago School of Business is an incredibly valuable qualification.
