Area of PhD Research: Consumer behaviour, behavioural real Estate, Emotion

PhD completed: 2009

Short description of research:

This study seeks to examine how and why home consumers choose to purchase a home by identifying emotional factors that influence their home choices.

An appreciation of how and what home buyers come to view as valuable is advantageous to practitioners in predicting accurate property value. This understanding will lead to better explanations and predictions in real estate valuation for example and subsequently, greater success in real estate markets.
